When it comes to a question of innovation entrepreneur Mat Jacobson is usually all for it, but when asked whether it should really be everyone’s business his answer is ‘no’. Mat goes on to describe how maybe in fantasyland innovation in all sectors across all employees is possible, but for major corporations, far more important than creativity is its exact opposite: clear, documented processes that are reliable and consistent. Mat discusses how innovation should start with the CEO and be filtered down through his executives and maybe key members of senior management, but definitely not to all employees.
