From his major wins on the international tennis circuit, to representing Australia in the Davis Cup, Scott Draper is not afraid to take on new challenges. Scott joined Ducere’s MBA program in 2015, to help make his move from the sporting life to the business world.

Over a span of 15 months, Scott completed projects with Ducere partners NAB, PWC and KPMG, focusing on areas such as digital banking, innovation ecosystems and health technology. For Scott, one of the biggest appeals of the program was “the chance to go into specific areas of the innovation economy and learn what they mean for Australia’s future”.

“I have never been part of an academic pursuit like this one, where the balance of practicality and theory are so well considered and integrated,” he says.

“We hear a lot about a ‘culture of high performance’, but I definitely saw this in everyone I encountered at Ducere,” says Scott, “If it wasn’t for the MBA program, there’s no way I would’ve met the people I’ve met.”
