Yves Deschenes is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. He currently serves as the Associate Vice-President for Human Resources and Organizational Development at Centennial College. As an Executive Team member and the senior-most human resource leader in the institution, Deschenes role is to unlock the “People Potential” of Centennial College allowing it to be counted among the most engaging and best places to work in Canada.

Prior to joining Centennial, Deschenes was Director of Human Resources at Ontario Place and a Human Resource Manager for Ontario Public Service. Through his career, Deschenes has assumed progressively more responsible roles ranging from the management of payroll and information technology group to the development of the Ontario Public Service’s first human resource plan following a downsizing.

Deschenes graduated from York University in 1988 with a Bsc in Biology and Psychology. He also recently received an MBA from Walden Univerisity and is a Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) as awarded by the Human Resources Professionals Association.
