Kennon joined forces with boutique all-channel marketing and advertising agency MN&P in the summer of 2014. In his role as Chief Strategy Officer for the firm Kennon leads brand, advertising and channel activation strategy for all MN&P agency clients across a range of categories.
In early 2012, Kennon joined social media network start-up Brabble as their chief strategy officer. There he invented and developed the patents for a revolutionary kind of true “social media” – the star tag.
In January 2011 Kennon joined the strategic services leadership team at Y&R to lead the creation of the next generation of integrated brand marketing. Working with the existing planning group he lead the transformation of agency thinking and doing around an obsessively behavioural and audience-centric planning model, introducing & evangelizing new tools and practices for briefing, optimization and driving the agency’s roster of top tier brand’s business results thru freshly integrated marketing.
For the Wunderman global network from 2007 thru 2011, Kennon led the creation of a social media practice group grounded in the rigor of digital direct response. He developed a new model for insights development – the Listening Platform – using complex gathering, analytics & modelling tools to organize and translate the noise of the social media “wild” into new campaign planning, execution and optimization methodologies for emerging platforms.
Kennon is a frequent contributor to digital marketing trade press and speaker on digital panels. A veteran of the direct and digital marketing industry, Kennon has founded, launched or lead three interactive agencies over his career. He enjoys the opportunity to evangelize the emerging science of radical marketing in his role as adjunct professor of digital marketing and social media at NYU’s Master of Science Integrated Marketing program.
