After over a year of planning, Ducere Education is now accepting enrolments in Mauritius for the groundbreaking MBA: Innovation and leadership. In what is a watershed moment for Ducere, and indeed Australia, this MBA partnership is the first for an Australian education company.
On the October, 28th, 2014, Eve Fidèle of Business Magazine in Mauritius, broke the news that Ducere would be going into partnership with the University of Mauritius.
Since then Ducere has been in ongoing negotiations to get the course off the ground, with the Head of Ducere’s MBA, Jack Hylands, working to overcome barriers in transferring the Australian based course, partnered with the University of Canberra, to a course available for Mauritian University Students.
Students from the University of Mauritius will now have unparalleled access to Ducere’s network of Global Leaders, which now includes the previous Director of the CIA, General David Petraeus. Leaders such as Former Prime Minister (and Ducere Chancellor), The Hon. Ms. Julia Gillard, pass on experience gained over years in high ranking positions. This means that Mauritian students can gain real industry experience from a network of leaders covering a range of industries.
“UoM is the oldest and largest university in Mauritius and a highly ranked institution in Africa. This world-class online MBA offering for our students will allow them to become more entrepreneurial whilst having a more innovative approach to building their career and climbing the corporate ladder.”
Vice Chancellor, University of Mauritius, Professor Romeela Mohee
This is all part of Ducere’s push into Africa, where the Ducere Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ducere Education, work to improve access to education in local communities.
